Alice Long

Alice Ree Long departed her earthly bond Saturday, February 9, 2013.

She was born in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, November 28, 1956 to the late Bernice and Marie Pope Long.

She worked many years as a hair dresser in the Fayetteville and Hope Mills area.

Alice supported "the goat fund" as her family called it, which in reality was Heifer International, a mission that supplies animals for breeding stock to the inhabitants of under developed countries to help feed their families and improve their lives.

A funeral service to remember her life and accomplishments will be held at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel Friday evening, February 15, 2013 at 8:00 PM conducted by Pastor E. Norwood Tadlock.

Among those with hearts left empty by her passing include daughters, Tina Wright and husband Kenneth Jackson of Parkton, North Carolina, Trixie Barber and husband John of Roxboro, North Carolina; sister, Peggy Richardson of Dublin, North Carolina and grandchildren, Jarrod Banawa, J. J. Barber and Allison Jackson and a host of extended family and friends.
