Alice Shipman

Alice Faye Shipman, 68, of Hope Mills, died August 18, 2014.

She was born in Bladen County to Thomas and Bessie Caulder. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Billy Caulder and a sister-in-law Judy Caulder.

Mrs. Shipman is survived by her husband William with whom she just celebrated her 48th wedding anniversary on August 6, 2014; two sons, Ronald Shipman and wife Wanda of Hope Mills and Gary Shipman and wife Sarah, of Fayetteville; two sisters Sue Grimsley and husband Gilbert and Patricia Graham, a brother Bobby Caulder and wife Doreatha, all of Hope Mills; a sister-in-law Christine Delacruz of Fayetteville; four grandchildren Casey Shipman, Meghan Shipman, Gracie Shipman, and Emma Shipman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Faye was a dedicated member of Golfview Baptist Church of Hope Mills. She was also a previous owner of Special Moments Florist in St. Pauls. Prior to that she worked at Western Publishing Company where she retired after 21 years.
