Alkie Hinton

Col. Alkie Curtis (Curt) Hinton, Jr. (Ret.) died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Curt was born July 31, 1934 in Wilson, NC to the late Alkie Curtis Sr. and Evadna Brown Hinton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM at the Pinecrest Chapel. Interment will be Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10:00 AM at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC with full military honors.

Col. Hinton is survived by his wife, Luise, two sons Gregory and Kevin; three daughters, Lisa, Regina and Angela; eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
