Alton Stedman

Mr. Alton Leon Stedman, 61 of Parkton, passed away February 2, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of Henry Franklin Stedman and Annie Elizabeth Pierce Stedman. He is preceded in death by his father and a son, Joshua Stedman and a brother, Ronnie Stedman.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Arnett and husband Dustin of Parkton; mother, Annie Elizabeth Stedman of St. Pauls; a sister, Patsy Brown of St. Pauls, and brothers, Donald Stedman and wife Patty of Grays Creek and Leroy Stedman of Stedman; 5 grandchildren, Dillion and Daniel Stedman, Isaiah, Landon and Olivia Arnett.

Alton was the family clown. He loved hanging out with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, watching football and racing. He was a North Carolina Tarheel and Dale Earnhart, Sr. fan. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
