Angel Rivera

Angel Calixto Rivera 63,  of Fayetteville died Sunday February  5, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.



Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, he is the son of the late Jose' Oscar and Amparo Rodriguez Rivera.



He is survived by  daughters, Chani Rivera and fiance Mark Bailey of Hope Mills,  Maria Rivera Washington and husband Cory of Hope Mills; sons, Matthew Rivera of Fayetteville  John Rivera of Raleigh,  sister, Maria Rivera Cruz and husband Enrique of Orlando, Florida;  grandchildren.   Sydni, Starr, Angel, Antonio, Izabella and Jayden Rivera and Bryson Washington.



Angel had a passion for life.  He loved  scuba diving, photography, visiting Costa Rico and Salsa dancing.  Angel was enlisted into the 173rd Airborne Brigade and owned Angel's Gym where he taught Moo Duk Kwan and self defense.



A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday February 11, 2012 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills.
