Arianey Lopez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Arianey Michelle Lopez, age 13. Arianey left this world surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Arianey was born in Lumberton, North Carolina on June 21, 2009, to Javier and Monica Lopez.  She was known for her kind heart, her intelligence, and her great love for her family.  She adored playing soccer, all things purple, reading countless books, and spending as much time as possible with her big brother, Jiovani, whom she loved and admired.  She was full of life, competitive, and the president of the Beta Club at 71st Classical Middle School where she was a rising 8th grader.  Her dream was to become an endocrinologist, so that she could help save lives.  Her parents have donated her organs so that her dream can still be fulfilled.

Arianey is survived by her parents, Javier and Monica Lopez; her big brother, Jiovani Lopez; and grandparents, Jose-Mario Lopez, Andrea Reyes-Zamora, Melchor Contreras, and Maria Guadalupe Carranza.

Above all, Arianey will be remembered for her sweet, gentle spirit that never failed to bring comfort and happiness to everyone around her.  She was truly an angel on earth and will be greatly missed by, not only her family, but countless friends and classmates. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
