Barbara Cullen

Mrs. Barbara Ann Cullen, 81 of Hope Mills, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Born December 8, 1939 in Lumberton, Barbara is the daughter of the late Clayton and Dorothy Johnson Singletary. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Abe” Cullen; a sister, Janice Southerland; and a brother, Ronald "Gene" Singletary.

The funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Scot McCosh at 2 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church on 3350 Butler Nursery Road in Fayetteville. Burial will be done privately with family at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Lucy Steinberg of Appleton, WI; brother, Bobby Singletary of Charleston, SC; 11 nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church building fund.

Our family would like to thank everyone at Hope Mills Retirement Center for their special care shown to Barbara during her stay. Barbara was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. And though she may be missed, Barbara is now at last, with the love of her life Abe, singing in heaven.
