Barbara Simmons

Barbara Cummings Simmons, 67, of Fayetteville died July 31, 2013.

Born in Robeson County, she is the daughter of Joseph and Sadie Cummings. She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Joseph "Buddy" Cummings.

She is survived by husband, Norman Simmons of the home; sons, Chris Simmons and wife Tanya of Raleigh, NC, Terry Simmons and wife Shannon of Fayetteville; mother, Sadie Cummings; grandchildren, Cala Simmons, Amiya Simmons, Brianna Simmons, Christopher Simmons, II, and Norman Simmons; sisters, Sandra Revels of Pembroke, Gloria Simmons of Eastover, Geraldine Sexton of Lumberton, and a brother, Early Cummings of Pembroke; Barbara's special children, Barbara Jean Locklear, Payton Locklear, Kevin Cummings, Eric Hernandez; special sisters, Janice Locklear, Jennifer Wynn, Doris Jacobs and a special brother, David Earl Cummings.

Afuneral service will be held at 3pm, Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Eastside Church of God, 2217 Clinton Road, Fayetteville.
