Bessie Lee Whittington, 88, of Raeford, died Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Born October 8, 1928 in Marion, SC, Bessie was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Thompkins.
She was a member of Hope Mills Church of God.
Along with her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Whittington and daughter, Shelvy McMillan.
She is survived by her son, Vancleef Whittington and wife Kathleen, sister, Sylvia Guyton; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Bessie will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
