Betty Smith

Betty Jo Smith, 80, died Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Betty was born February 29, 1932 to the late Albert and Callie Pitts Love in Oxford, AL, and lived in Gray's Creek, NC for a number of years, but for the last year and one-half she resided with and was cared for by her daughter Helen Rhodes in Waxhaw, NC.

Those left to mourn her loss in addition to her daughter Helen, are, granddaughters, Kelly Terzaken of Wilmington, NC, Brandy Hampton of China Grove, NC; brothers Jerry and Charles Love both of Anniston AL; sisters Jewel Smelley of Eastaboga, AL, and Carolyn Craven of Madison, GA; grandchildren, Jayden Terzaken, Eli Gazda, Baylee, Kayla, and Madison Hampton and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm following the visitation at the church with Rev. Jane Almon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
