Beverly (Chandler) Boyer Buie, 82, of Hope Mills, died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill from aggressive liver cancer.
Born November 20, 1936 in Barre, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Cleo Viola Chandler.
Beverly is survived by her four children, Victoria Schoening, Theresa Shultz, Kenneth Boyer, and Catherine Fink; nine grandchildren, Crystal Moore, William Reidy, Francis Shultz, Heather McCracken, Erin Rydell, Kellie Kett, Mickey Fink, Karen Pressley, and Josh Boyer; nine great grandchildren, Jeff Bullock, Jayme Moore, Alliyah Drake, Riley and Madison Kett, Mike Parker, and Zane, Zoey, and Zahaley; four great-great grandchildren, Kyon, Rionna, Faith, and Nevaeh Grooms, multiple nieces and nephews; and several other family members and friends.
Beverly's hard work and dedication were evident in the many years she worked at Kroger's Food Stores before retiring. She was an awesome Girl Scout leader and a devout Catholic of the Good Shepherd Parish in Hope Mills. Being a good and considerate friend, she loved to send cards to everyone. Strong, independent, stubborn, yet fun, Beverly enjoyed music, dancing, reading, and gardening. She was an avid fan of Good Morning America and The Steve Wilko Show.
Her love and adoration of angels were only emphasized by her desire to be "surrounded by them." Beverly was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. And those who did know her, can rest assure that Beverly is now in heaven what she always was on earth...an angel.
