Bobby Mclaurin

Bobby James McLaurin, age 82 of Fayetteville, passed away January 19, 2021 at Womack Army Medical Center.

He was born August 30, 1938 in Cumberland County, North Carolina to the late James Woodard McLaurin and Beulah Irene Norton.  Bobby served in the US Marine Corp for 14 years as a Staff Sergeant serving 2 terms in Viet Nam.  Following his military career, he would go on to work as office manager retiring from Distribution Construction Company after 20+ years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol McLaurin; his son Michael Glenn McLaurin (Betty) of Elizabethtown, NC; his daughter Brenda McLaurin Pearson (Mark) of Chalotte, NC; his daughter Gail McLaurin Flowers (Billy) of Linden, NC; his eight grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Tiffany, Dustin, Lindsay, Taylor, Kevin and Mackenzie; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Wayne McLaurin (Betty) of Stedman, NC; his brother Woody McLaurin of Mountain City, TN; his brother Tony Norton (Debbie) of Wake Forest, NC; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

There will be a private visitation  from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Monday January 25 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services followed by  a private graveside service Monday at 2:00 pm at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
