Carl Edwin Ellis, Jr., 48 of Fayetteville, passed away January 6, 2017 at his home.
Born in Hardin County, Kentucky, he is the son of Sharon Williams and the late Carl Edwin Ellis, Sr. Carl aka " Eddy" was an avid race fan and the #1 Ohio State Buckeye fan. He served in the US Air Force for twenty-two honorable years; serving in Desert Storm and Iraq Freedom during the Gulf War,deploying multiple times, and Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan then retiring in 2008. Carl also held two degrees in automotive mechanics.
He is survived by his wife Kari and a daughter Kali. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Williams and stepfather Ed Williams; a brother, Howie Ellis and sister-in-law Amy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Friday, January 13, 2017 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills. A gathering of family and friends will be from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the funeral home.
