Chan Russ Clark 62 of Parkton died Thursday October 9, 2014. .

Born in Cumberland County he is the son of the late Ellis and Eula Carter Clark. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Britt.

He was a retired construction worker. He loved Carolina basketball, nascar racing and his dog Sugar. He was the life of the party, he never saw a stranger and would give you the shirt off of his back.

On October 2, 2014 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. It doesn't matter how you start, it only matters how you finish.

He is survived by one sister, Betty Jean Cantwell of Shannon; 3 nieces, Nicole McLean of Hope Mills, Dana Tyndall of Coats and Lindsay Johnson of Modesto, CA; 3 nephews, Todd Johnson of Modesto, CA, James Jacobs, ll of Hope Mills and Jimmy Jacobs of Ypsilanti, MI; brother in law, Howard Britt of Fayetteville; special lifetime friends, Keith & Laura McMillan and Sheila Hare.

The family will receive friends at 3754 Colonial Cove in Hope Mills at other times.
