Charles Rogers

July 7, 1953 — April 19, 2013

Fayetteville, North Carolina

Charles Allen Rogers, III, 59 of Fayetteville, died April 19, 2013.

Born in Cumberland County, he is the son of the late Charles Allen Rogers, II, and Janet Cain Thompkins.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Rogers of Fayetteville; sons, Gary Rogers of Fayetteville, Chris Rogers of Raleigh; sisters, Irene Chrismon and husband David and Elaine Roy all of Hope Mills; brothers, Sonny Thompkins of Oak Island, Barton Rogers of New Orleans, Louisiana, Paul Rogers and wife Mandy of Jackson, Mississippi, and many nieces & nephews.

To his friends he was known as "Charlie." He was smart and had a great sense of humor. Everyone looked forward to reading his daily post on facebook. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, traveling, going to the beach, and listening to southern gospel music.

He served in the United States Army and was a longtime member of the Masons. If you were to ask Charlie, he would tell you his greatest accomplishment in life were his sons Gary and Chris. It was a family tradition to spend Christmas Holidays together. Gary and Chris cherish the memories they have of their Dad. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
