Courtney Alexis Brewington, 28 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Born July 9, 1995, in Cumberland County, Courtney is the daughter of Toni Lynn Wallace and the late Ernest Harold Brewington, Jr. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Harold Brewington, Sr.; maternal grandfather, James Wallace, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Elva Dean Todd; and uncle, Paul Mills.
Along with her mother, Courtney is survived by her brother, Ryan Wallace; sister, Lauren Brewington; niece, Kiyah Brewington; maternal grandmother, Joyce Wallace; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Brewington; aunts, Tracy Edwards, Shannon Hardin, and Sabrina Brewington; uncles, Greg Wallace, Jeremy Brewington, and Lee Brewington; several cousins; and a host of other family and friends.
For the past several years, Courtney worked at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar in Fayetteville where she enjoyed meeting all kinds of interesting people and adored all her co-workers and managers.
Courtney had a passion for food and cooking. She enjoyed many different types of food with some of her favorites being Japanese food, pork tenderloins, her mom’s chicken casserole, deviled eggs, and anything sweet. Above all, no matter how good any food tasted, nothing would ever compare to her life-long love affair with chicken Oodles of Noodles. Without hesitation, Courtney could be sometimes found in the kitchen cooking a full meal at midnight then sitting and eating with her brother Ryan while they binge watched Netflix for hours. Being a self-proclaimed TVaholic, she enjoyed watching anything from cop shows to anything with vampires in them.
Courtney had many little enjoyments in life including staying up late and sleeping in. She loved anything pink or cheetah print, her Yeti up, and Johnny the family dog. But most of all, Courtney loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.
She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Courtney was a true blessing who will be dearly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved her.
