Donnie Beard

Donnie Gene Beard, 63 of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Born September 5, 1957 in Cumberland County, Donnie is the son of the late Albert Grey Beard and Mary Ann Hair Beard. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Janet McLamb; son, Michael Brent Ransom; and just recently, his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Beard.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Southern and husband Jeffery; son, Dustin Ransom; daughter, Amber Skipper and husband Larry; son, Kevin Ransom; grandchildren, Hunter Southern, Justin Skipper, Jessica Ransom, Emily Southern, Kaitlyn Ransom, Jacob Southern, Savannah Skipper, Brooklyn Ransom, and Ember Ransom; great granddaughter, Valerie Skipper; sisters, Marie Russ, Barbara Fell and husband David, and Kathy Bass and husband Norman; brothers, Arnold Beard, Bobby Beard and wife Kay, Gerald Beard and wife Chris, and Michael Beard and wife Debbie Jo; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Donnie was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Donnie and Debbie's lives will be celebrated together, just as they are now together again smiling at one another, holding each other's hand, and loving one another forever.
