Doris Jones

Doris Baggett Jones, 94, of Hope Mills, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born February 12, 1927 in Harnett County, Doris was left in the backseat of a doctor's car during a snowstorm and never knew her birth parents. She was adopted by the late Hiram and Dolly Moore Baggett of Lillington, NC, where she grew up, went to Peace College, and married the late Carl Ellis Jones. Together they owned and operated Massey Hill Hardware in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her son, Ellis Jones and wife Diane; grandson, Jonathan Jones and fiancee Brittany; granddaughter, Ashley Jones Yates and husband Kenneth; and great grandchildren, Waylon Jones, Bowen Jones, and Kaden Yates.
With faithful dedication, Doris had a perfect church attendance for the past 77 years and currently attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville.
Doris will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
