Dorothy Cummins

Mrs. Dorothy D. Cummins, (formerly of Hope Mills) of Carolina Inn in Fayetteville died, Saturday, December 10, 2011.



Mrs. Cummins, 86 was born March 14, 1925 to the late F. Lee Davis and Ida H. Davis of Hope Mills.



She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Cummins; her parents,   a sister, Elizabeth D. Davis and a niece, Debbie Swanson Hinton.



She is survived by a sister, Margaret D. Swanson; three nephews, Dickie and Tommy Swanson and wife Kay, John Michael Davis and wife Gail; four great nieces, Stephanie Davis, Andrea Swanson, Kelsie and JoAnna Hinton and one great nephew, Holden Swanson.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Hope Mills United Methodist Church with Dr. Dennis Sheppard officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in Hope Mills Cemetery on Legion Road.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hope Mills United Methodist Church, 4955 Legion Road, Hope Mills, NC  28348.  Services entrusted to Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services.
