Earl Gilmore

Earl Lloyd "Candy Man" Gilmore, 90, of Hope Mills, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Cape Fear Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Earl was born August 29, 1927 in Cumberland County to the late Samuel and Lucinda Gilmore. In addition to his parents, his wife, Louise Gilmore and a son, James Earl Gilmore, preceded Earl in death.

Among those to remember his life and mourn his passing include his children, Mickey Gilmore, Thomas Gilmore (Rosemary), Mary Gilmore, Patricia Gilmore, Julie Smith (Bob) and Jennie Coleman (Billy); 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hope Mills Church of God Life Center.

Earl will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
