Edwin Brower

Edwin Neil Brower Jr, "Eddie," 88, of Hope Mills passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at home.
In 1950, he married and moved back to Hope Mills where they attended Hope Mills United Methodist Church. He taught Sunday School for over 30 years and was on the Administrative Board for multiple terms He has served on both area hospital boards, the Salvation Board and volunteers for the Sunshine Center. He serves as the city of Hope Mills Historian.
Eddie has been a member of the Fayetteville Rotary Club, and active in the Fayetteville Cotillion Club and Highland Country Club. Eddie loved life and really enjoyed a hand of bridge. He hunted, fished, and loved to swim.
When his grandchildren were younger, he could be seen riding them around on his tractor. Everyone knew he loved chocolate and he always had a stash of candy.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Dorothy "Dot" Harris Brower, children, Anne Madison-Meaders, Neil Brower and wife Rena, four grandchildren, Amber Madison Hanks, Timothy Madison II, Harris Brower, and Edwin Brower IV. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren; Savannah, and Brady. Madison.
