Ellon Cashwell Baker

Ellon Cashwell Baker, 83 of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Born September 24, 1939 in Cumberland County, Ellon is the daughter of the late Tommie Lee Cashwell and Viola Sudie Tew Cashwell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Dale Baker; son, Thomas Council, Jr.; daughter, Emma Jane Council; and sisters, Margaret Patty, Shirley Simpson, and Marcia Grimes.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Nance and husband Dace, Frankie Baker, and Angelic Chrismon; grandchildren, Jessica, Wendy, Frankie II, Nicole, J.T., Crystal, and Jamie; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Erline Kerr, Juanita Ferguson, and Tommy Cashwell; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Ellon was lover of music who enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
