Elsie Kinlaw

Elsie H. Kinlaw, 74 years old, went to be with the Lord our Father on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

Born on Christmas Day in Cumberland County, Elsie is the daughter of the late Julius and Margaret House. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Wilhite.

Elsie is survived by her only child, Beth Kinlaw of SC; granddaughters, Brannigan Shuffield (Craig) and Elsie Short (Justin) of Hope Mills; 6 great grandchildren; and brothers, Elwood House of Clement and Tommy House of Fayetteville.

Elsie was a true angel on Earth. While her last years were spent battling kidney cancer, she always lived her life to the fullest by traveling and spending time with her family. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her family and serving her God as an active member of Lake Lynn Baptist Church. Elsie’s faith through everything has been steadfast and everlasting. The heavens certainly gained an amazing woman; for this she will be missed enormously by all who knew her.

And just so you know, she really was the BEST GRANDMA in the whole wide world!
