Emma Jean Tucker James, 86 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday afternoon on August 29th, 2022 at Hope Mills Retirement Center in Hope Mills.
Born May 11th, 1936 in Polk County, Emma is the daughter of the late Thadeus and Francis Tucker. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Lee James; and her siblings, Genell Tucker, Dud Tucker, Linda Tucker, and Kenneth Tucker.
Emma is survived by her daughters, Sherrie James and Carmen Tackett and husband Darrel; her siblings, Merlean Click, John Tucker, Curtis Tucker, and Irene Lindsey; her grandchildren, Michael, Logan, and Mariah Tackett; two great grandchildren, Guinevere and Harrison Tackett; a non-biological son, John Ingraldi; and a host of other family members and friends that loved her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. The family will greet friends following the service.
Emma will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
