Flora Barfield

Flora Victoria Barfield, 78 of Bladenboro died April 25, 2012



Born in Bladen County, she is the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary Neely Thompson of Hope Mills.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy L. Barfield.



She is survived by four sons, Rick Bentley of Wilmington, Randy Barfield of Bladenboro, Jimmy Barfield of Hope Mills, Jeffrey Barfield and wife Janet of Hope Mills; a brother, Dewey Thompson and wife Mary Kate of Bladenboro;  twelve grandchildren, Natalie Goins, Sarah Leyhew, Casey Craig, Haley Lowery, Chase Barfield, Helena Victoria Barfield, Jeffrey Scott Barfield, Jonathan Pate, Shannon Pate, Edward Pate, Lauren Raymes, Emily Raymes; twelve great grandchildren, Caleb Goins, Makaela Goins, Caden Goins, Lance Leyhew, Kiersten Leyhew, Kaylee Craig, Jonathan Michael Pate, Edward Arran Pate, Haley Jayde Spence, Savannah Michelle Pate, Emily Kay and  Isabella Ruby Pate; niece, Lynne  Smith and husband Terry and nephew, Marcus Quick.



Mrs. Barfield was an avid bowler.  She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.



A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills.  Burial will follow in Gilmont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm, Friday April 27th at the funeral home.
