Francine Harris

Francine Jones Harris, 48 of Fayetteville, passed away April 21, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born in Cumberland County, she is the daughter of John Paul Jones, Sr. and Cora Bell Patterson.  She is preceded in death by her two mothers, Cora Patterson and Sandra Kay Jones.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Harris, Jr, Travis Harris, Donovan Harris, Devante Harris and wife Toni,  and Byron Harris; her fathers,  John Paul Jones, Sr. and  Devern Patterson; brothers and sisters;  Charlene Austin (Aaron), Linda Patterson, Debbie Veltri (Matt) , Pamela Hailey, Ray Batton (Susan), Jr., John Paul Jones, Jr., Marquis Patterson, Kim Burruss (Jamal), Jennifer Jones Cribb and Renee’ Evans (Shawn); five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, April 26, 2021 at Fayetteville Assembly of God, Gillespie Street, Fayetteville.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM prior to the service at the church.   MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE SERVICES.  Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road, Fayetteville.

Francine worked at Kindercare in Fayetteville for 18 years before retiring and being a stay-at-home mom.  She grew up attending Fayetteville Assembly of God and enjoyed singing.  She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
