George Deyoung

George Michael DeYoung, 91, of Fayetteville, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at the NC State Veterans Nursing Home in Fayetteville.

George was born March 19, 1924 in Harvey, IL to the late Peter and Gertrude Lambert DeYoung. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marian DeYoung.

George leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Paulette Munson and husband Les of Fayetteville; son, Marc DeYoung and wife Sue of Galena, IL; daughter, Celeste Dunn and husband Steve of Somonauk, IL; daughter, Michaelene DeYoung of Daytona Beach, FL; stepbrother, Ronald DeValle of Illinois; ten grandchildren, Michael, Dr. J. Patrick, Dawn, Christopher, Tina, Nikolaus, Benjamin, Jacob, Laura, and Jeremy; and six great grandchildren, Philip, Amber, Selena, Jonathan, Cooper, and Will.

George was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
