George Marchman

Retired Army CSM George Marcellus Marchman, 73, of Hope Mills, NC, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 in his home.

He was born September 28, 1940 in Greensboro, GA to the late George Thomas and Vera Jackson Marchman.

Along with his parents, Mr. Marchman was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Marchman, and sister, Martha Channell.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills..

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Greg Shepard will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Mr.Marchman is survived by his wife, Theresa Marchman; son, Brian Marchman and his wife Cindi of Charleston, SC; stepson, Michael Rausch of Raeford, NC; stepdaughter, Denice Wilkes of Hope Mills, NC; sister, Shirley Byce and husband Murrell of Greensboro, GA; and five grandchildren, Alexandra Marchman, Stephen Gonsalves, Courtney Rausch, Daniel Rausch, and Taylor Miller.
