Gladys Sweat

FAYETTEVILLE - Gladys M. Sweat, 82, of Fayetteville went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2010.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by sons, Robert W. Sweat, Jr. and Edgar Lynn Sweat and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday June 1, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation services of Hope Mills. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Community Chapel Church with the Revs. Bobby Bunnells and Frank Dulzer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Woodrow Sweat; daughter, Deanna Gay Sweat; sons, Eddie and wife Frankie, Tommy, Steve and wife Cathy, daughter in law, Betty Sweat, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
