U.S. Army SGM (Retired) Harold "Whiskey" Steven Yocum, 78 of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Womack Army Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1943, Steve is the son of the late Harold and Ellen Dixon Yocum. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Yocum.
Steve is survived by his wife, Aixa Yocum; son, Javier Hernandez and wife Malena; son, Mainor Yocum and wife Michelle; daughter, Bridget Yocum; grandchildren, Javier Hernandez, Sally Hernandez, Savanna Yocum, Elexa Yocum, Reynaldo Collazo-Yocum, Alexander Collazo-Yocum and fiance Kasie; Anthony Collazo-Yocum and wife Alyssa; great grandchildren, Freya Yocum and Xavier Hernandez; his furry companion, Fancy Pants; and a host of other family and friends.
Steve proudly served over 25 years in the Army, earning numerous ribbons and medals during his military career. After his retirement, he greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
