Helen Byrd

Mrs. Helen R. Byrd, 88 of Hope Mills, passed away July 19, 2016, at Cumberland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville.

Born in Robeson County, she is the daughter of the late Porter and Ida Bailey Robeson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Byrd; a daughter, Shirley Leviner and a son, Rudolph Byrd.

She is survived by a son, Charles Byrd and wife Donna of St. Pauls; daughters, Mary Ellen Slappe of Hope Mills, Juanita Schoeffner and husband Charles of Georgia, and Pat Kriner and husband Johnny of Cedar Creek; grandchildren, Richard Slappe and wife Sharon, Kim Coffman and husband Chris, Brandi Byrd-Lavertu and husband Kevin, Gary Leviner, Jr. and wife Lisa, Troy Leviner and wife Rhonda, Shelia Norkett and husband Daryl, Jason Comstock and wife NaCole , Leonna Byrd and Travis Byrd; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
