Helen Knox

Helen Knox, 83, of Fayetteville, NC, died Thursday, January 23, 2014.

She was born August 13, 1930 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Arthur and Sana Mae Powell.

Graveside services, officiated by Chaplain Tim Gore, will be held at 1:00pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Elaine Kurz and husband Bill of Hemmingway, SC; son, Alvin Knox and wife Karen of Fayetteville; sisters, Margaret Tyre, Elsie Borunda and husband Rudy, and Judy Bright and husband Archie; three grandchildren, Joely Koonce Johnson and husband Jason, Christy Jarrell and husband Joey, and Cody Cox; and four great grandchildren, Kirsten and Peyton Jarrell, and Kloe and Leea Watts.

In lieu if flowers, donations may be made to Cumberland United Methodist Church, 2262 George Owen Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Helen was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
