Helen Stevenson

Ms. Helen Johnson Stevenson, 71 of Hope Mills, went to be with the Lord August 10, 2013.

Born in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of Roy and Marion Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert L. Stevenson.

She is survived by sons, Mark Stevenson and wife Laura of Four Oaks, Shawn Stevenson and wife NanHe of Hope Mills; grandsons, Alex and Daniel Stevenson, Bob Armstrong, and Airman Mark Armstrong; brothers, J. R., Stacy, Donald L., Michael D., Lloyd D. and Richard W. Johnson; sisters, Joyce Matthews and Beverly Yourell.

Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed going to church and singing in the Choir. She was a very giving and kind hearted person. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
