Horace Smith

Horace Smith, 87, of Hope Mills, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in his home with family by his side.

Born April 8, 1932 in Cumberland County, Horace was the son of the late Dan and Oada Smith. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Mark Anthony Smith; and daughter, Brenda Gail Groves.

He is survived by his wife, Melvaline Smith; son, Leon Smith; seven grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Horace was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
