James Clark, Sr.

James H. "Buddy" Clark, Sr., 87, of Hope Mills, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Born in Clio, SC, James was the son of the late Jesse and Hattie Clark. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Doreen Clark; granddaughter, Amanda Tramell; and sisters, Tessie Faircloth and Elawese Himes.

James is survived by his wife, Dovie M. Clark; son, James H. "Jimmy" Clark, Jr.; daughter, Rita Faye Munn and husband Daniel; son, Tracey D. Clark and wife Mary Lou; grandchildren, Lesli Ann Clark, Tate A. Clark, and Abigail Clark; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

James was longtime member of Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and just being outdoors.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
