Mr. James Lutrail Hulon, 87, of Fayetteville died Wednesday May 8, 2013 at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1925 in Cumberland County, he is the son of the late James Boyd Hulon and Martha Garner Hulon.
He served in the US Merchant Marines in WW 11 and US Army receiving an honorable discharge. He was retired from McLean Trucking Company and was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Ivey Hulon; son Donald Brent Hulon and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Lexie Jackson Hulon; sons, Bobby Hulon & wife Grace, Ray Hulon & wife Debbie, Randy Hulon & wife Elaine, Darryl Jackson & wife Wendy; daughter, Marlene Wofford & husband Larry; brother, Sherwood Hulon & wife JoAnn; brother-in-law, Dennis Ivey & wife Maxine; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will held at 6:00 p.m. Friday May 10, 2013 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills conducted by Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Ken Earwood.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be held Saturday May 11, 2013. The family has requested all who wish to attend meet at the funeral home at 10:00 am, Saturday morning to proceed to Parkton Cemetery.
