James Riley

James R. Riley, 88, of Fisher Road, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009.

He was born June 13, 1921 to the late Rasbird and Ethel Lovin Riley in Robinson County.

He was married to the Late Berline Garner for 59 years.

He was an Army veteran serving in World War II, and a retired finished carpenter.

Surviving are a son, Steve Riley and wife, Jacque, and their daughter, Dana, of Fayetteville; a daughter, Debbie Strickland and husband Mike and their sons Rickey and Michael Strickland and Roy Ross of South Carolina; stepsisters, Linda Hargls of Fayetteville and Kay Page of Virginia; and five great-step grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ronald Gurganous.
