James Rogers, Jr.

James Edward Rogers, Jr., 71, of Hope Mills, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at The Crossings at Wayside in Raeford.

Born February 2, 1949 in Cumberland County, James was the son of the late James Edward Rogers, Sr. and Bessie Mae Jones Rogers.

He was veteran of the U.S. Army, touring in Vietnam during his years of service.

James is survived by his wife, Betty Hester Rogers; children, Cathy Caulk and husband Philip, Lisa Fisher and husband Bobby, and Terry Johnson and wife Theresa, all of Hope Mills; grandchildren, Brandon Fisher and wife Jean of Fayetteville, Bryan Fisher and wife Rebecca of Raeford, Bradley Fisher of Hope Mills, Caroline Jackson of Hope Mills, Victoria Jackson of Fayetteville, Miranda Johnson of Willow Springs, and Olivia Johnson, also of Willow Springs; great grandchildren, Alyssa Fisher, Maston Fisher, Jackson Fisher, Athena Fisher, and Charlotte Millermon; siblings, Jack Rogers and wife Sandra, Wanda Rogers, Paula Bruce, and Diane Humphrey; and a host of other family members and friends.

James was loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
