James Edward Skipper, Sr. 71, of Fayetteville died Tuesday October 17 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born in Cumberland County he was the son of the late Arnie and Lola Stedman Skipper. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank Skipper, Johnny Skipper and Wayne Skipper; 2 sisters, Jean Skipper and Evonne Caulder.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Skipper, Johnny Skipper, and Wayne Skipper; and sisters, Jean Skipper and Evonne Caulder.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Faye Lee; daughter, Tonya Jones of Hope Mills; sons, James "Pug" Skipper, Jr., Will Ratley and Rusty Goodman all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Michael Jones, Shae Jones, Devin Ratley, Jacob Gray, Tray Skipper, Blake Skipper, Dakota Goodman and Dustin Goodman; great-grandchild, Chassidy Skipper; brothers. Kenny Skipper and William "Bit" Skipper both of Fayetteville.
Mr. Skipper liked mechanicing and fixing things.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
