James Taylor

James "Buddy" Taylor, Jr., 77, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.

Born in Cumberland County, he is the son of the late James Archie Sr. and Emma Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Taylor; children, Glenn Taylor and wife Kay of Clayton, Cissy McPhail and husband Buz of Fayetteville, Deborah Guilfoyle and husband Mike of Hope Mills, and Jimmy Taylor of Fayetteville; siblings, Johnny Lee Taylor, Dorothy Thompson, Nellie Fogg, Eugene Taylor and Ray Taylor; sister-in-law, Judy Owen and husband John; grandchildren, Kristi Ivey and husband Ronald, Christopher Ellis and wife Patty, Leslie Taylor, Matthew Taylor and Ryan Taylor; great grandchildren, Riley Ivey, Ethan Ivey, and Hannah Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Taylor was self-employed as a plumber. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Lake Lynn Baptist Church building fund at 3363 Gillespie St., Fayetteville, NC 28306.
