JC Helms

JC Helms, 81, of Hope Mills, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on July 20, 2024. 

Born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, he is the son of the late Pauline and Arvel Helms. He is also preceded in death by his son, Jim.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet; daughter, Robin and son-in-love Shawn; two special granddaughters, Morgan and Madison, who knew him as Papa or Pops; two brothers, Jim and Thurman; three sister-in-loves, and many special friends.

JC never truly met a stranger because they soon became a friend, and the friend became family. He was a man always on the go, and he loved to rise early so he could live each day to the fullest, especially those days he could spend on the lake fishing for bass with his best friend, Larry.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
