Jerry Matthews

Jerry D. Matthews, age 70, of Fayetteville, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was a native of Pinebluff, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Wesley and Annie Laura Matthews, one brother and three sisters.

After serving in the Air Force he worked for CPL and retired after 37 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bernice Renfrow Matthews; a stepson, Larry Renfrow and wife Pamela of Hope Mills; five step grandchildren, Ashley Renfrow, Cameron Renfrow, Jason Rogers and wife Jessica, Lannee McKeithan and husband John, Lindsay McLean and husband Sidney; two great grandchildren, Brooks McLean and Isabella Rogers. Mr. Matthews is also survived by two sisters, Judy Foutch of Durham and Evelyn Matthews of Charlotte, NC.
