Jesse West

Jesse R. West, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away at home on Thursday, February 16, 2012.



He was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Hubert and Lorraine West.



He served 20 years in the Army, with two tours in Vietnam, where he received two Bronze Stars and the Meritorious Service Award and retired as Sergeant  1st  Class.     He worked at John Deere for the last 15 years as a service technician.



Mr. West is survived by his wife, Jolene Miller West; and his children, Dawn Curle, Michael Meece, Tammy Walker, Jesse R. West ll and Stephen Meece. He also had four grandchildren, Joseph Perry, Shannae West, Christian Meece and Anya Walker; and one great-grandchild, Landon Perry.



Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services, 4721 Dunrobin Drive in Hope Mills.  A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
