Jessie Lee

Jessie F. Lee, 89 of Gilbert, Arizona (formerly of White Oak) passed away on November 6, 2022.

Born December 12, 1932 in Westbrook Township in Sampson County, he is the son of the late John Lee and Rosa Bella Lee.

Jess grew up on a farm and loved the outdoors and gardening. He taught himself to play the guitar at a very young age.  He never learned how to read music, he just had to hear it and he could play it. He loved music and singing and playing his guitar. Jess’s whole family played music. Later, Jess played in country western bands and made a lot of friends. Jess just loved people visiting family and traveling.

Jess is survived by his wife Shirley of 45 years; two nephews, Robert and Bill Lee of Omaha, Nebraska; 5 stepchildren, Debbie, Rick, Jaki, Ken and Gary; and 9 grandchildren. All of whom loved him and will miss him.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in White Oak Family Worship Church Cemetery, 1932 Burney Road, White Oak, NC
