Joseph Jackson

Mr. Joseph Bryan Jackson, 81 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at his home, December 9, 2016.

Born in Sampson County, he was the son of Noah Washington Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Ellis Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Al Jackson.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ella Faye Jackson; a daughter, Kim Kiehl and husband Paul; a grandson, Joshua Kiehl; sisters, Lucille Sessoms and Lyncia Hankins.

Mr. Jackson served in the US Navy from 1954 until 1958. He worked at the Fayetteville Observer as a manager and retired after thirty six years. Mr. Jackson lived an active life style and after retirement continued to work with Chrysler Motors as a car transporter. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and attending his grandson's swimming competitions.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services, 4721 Dunrobin Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
