Joyce Horne

Joyce Everette Horne, 78 of Hope Mills, died Sunday July 29, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Erma Everette; a sister, Grace Everette Sims, and a brother William (Rock) Everette.



Surviving is her husband, David (Sonny) Horne and several nieces & nephews.



She retired from Black and Decker after 20 years in 1988.  She was  a very active church member at Highland Baptist Church, Hope Mills.  She taught Sunday School and Children's Choir.  She loved working, teaching and singing with children.  David and Joyce were involved with the senior Group and were able to go on several trips.  Her favorite Bible verse is 23rd Psalm.  "The Lord is my shepard: I shall not want"



Graveside services will be held Thursday Aug. 2, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Hope Mills Cemetery.



Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services.



In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial be made to Highland Baptist Church 4456 Legion Rd Hope Mills, NC 28348 in memory of Mrs. Horne.
