Joyce Faye Wimert

Joyce Faye Wimert, 78, of Fayetteville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday,
November 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She always brought joy and happiness to those around her and loved spending time with her family, friends and her church family.

Born on April 1, 1945, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C Pittinger and Ruthetta Viola (Utz) Pittinger. She was the loving and devoted wife of 59 years to Larry D Wimert.

Joyce was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and the Baltimore Business Institute of Baltimore, Maryland. She worked for Union National Bank and Black and Decker while living in Westminster, MD.  After moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina she was a home maker and enjoyed working with crafts as a side business.  She was a devoted member of Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Larry, are son, David A Wimert and wife, Corinne A Wimert of Leland, NC; grandchildren Jordan Allen Wimert, Kayla Wimert and Charles Wimert and sister Ruth Olivia Wall of Westminster, MD.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church, 5855 Rockfish Road, Hope Mills, NC with Pastor Elton Bryan officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25 from 2-3pm at the above-mentioned church.
