Judith P. DeCicco

Judith P. DeCicco, 85 of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Judith, affectionately known as Judy, was born November 14, 1938, in Sampson County, NC. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Dixie Starling; her father, James Robert Page; two sisters, Barbara Page Mills and Dorothy Crumpler; brother, Jimmy Page; son, John Robert “Robbie” Autry; and her beloved dogs, Snapper, Snoopy, Trixie, and BooBoo. 

She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Johnson and husband BJ; two sons, Craig and Scott Autry, both of West Palm Beach, Florida; two grandsons, Robbie Johnson & his wife Danielle and Logan Autry & his wife Amanda; great grandson, Hendrix Gray Johnson; and one great granddaughter on her way, Maxine Blake Autry. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and three very special people in her life: her nephew, Jamie Lewis, who kept her yard always looking nice; Richard and wife Sharon, who always checked in on her; and her dear friend, Dale who spent hours sitting with her on her porch. 

Judy enjoyed the simple things in life, including her baby dolls and sitting on her front porch smoking her cigarettes while listening to Glenn Campbell, Patsy Cline, Charlie Rich, or any other classic country music she could find. When not on her porch, Judy could be found inside watching TV Land and enjoying Matlock with Andy Griffith until she knew every single episode by heart.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Shakur, Dr. Friberg, and Dr. Yang of Southeastern AHEC for the amazing care they provided. A sincere thank you goes out to the entire staff of Valley Hospice House who made the last four days of mom’s life the most peaceful and pain free days ever. You made saying goodbye so much easier.

Judy will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved her.
