Judith Ann Summers

Judith Ann Summers, 82, of Eastover, NC, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 17, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. 

Born April 23, 1942, Judi, as she was affectionately known, was a long-time Walmart employee and a devoted patron of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hope Mills, NC, where she enjoyed teaching catechism to inquirers, and was a lector of the word. She grew up in Seekonk, Massachusetts and was an avid Girl Scout and 4H club member in school. 

The oldest daughter of Arthur & Constance Francis, she leaves behind her sisters, Nancy Lambert and Patt Bothel, and her brother, Fred Francis. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Paula Buscemi and Cyndi Proulx. 

Judith was a loving mother, sister, and nana. As a mama, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she spent time cooking and baking and relaxing with her family She also enjoyed hobbies of gardening, raising rabbits, scrapbooking, and taking care of her beloved cats, Babu, Queenie, Taco & Tabitha. 

Judith leaves behind her four children, Elizabeth, Elaine, John, Jr. (Paulette), and James (Cherrie); her grandchildren, Candice (Lee), Leonard (Jessica), Margaret, Michael, Jonathan, Christopher, Douglas, John (Cassie), Troy, James, Joshua (Keoni), Brittany, and Brandon; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kyler, Sayler, Savannah, Luke, Nathan, Aiden, Micah, Noelle, Kamalei, Jace, Madison, and Liam.

Services will be on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5050 Oak Street, Hope Mills, NC 28348. Visitation will be in the church vestibule from 11:00 AM to Noon, with her service beginning at Noon. Her interment will follow at San Isidro Catholic Church, 4733 Macedonia Church Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
