Kathie Ward

Kathie Lee Ward, age 70 of Parkton, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, surrounded by family at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born in Harnett County, Kathie is the daughter of the late John Charles Eason and Lucy Wilborn Eason.  Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Laure Eason.

Kathie is survived by her husband, Roger Ward; daughter, Louann Burnette and husband Shonn; three sons, John Ward, Sr. and wife Deborah, Roger Ward, Jr. and wife Kimberly, and Paul Ward; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister, Cindy Baugher and husband Rob; brother, Charles Eason and wife Donna; and a host of other family members and friends.

Kathie loved her family and being around people.  She enjoyed cooking and helping her grandchildren with school projects.  Though she is gone, she left footprints in the hearts of many and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
